It goes without saying that writing is the most difficult job on the planet and is true for even the most professional and intensive writers out there. So, you can only presume that if someone isn’t acquainted with the writing process at all then how difficult it would be for them to work on a dedicated piece of writing. Without a fundamental understanding of the writing process, the whole thing is going to become a whole lot complicated.

What is the writing process and why is it important?

The writing process refers to a series of steps that are out there perfectly curated and calibrated by professionals for the sake of completing a piece of writing. It makes writing easier because the whole project is broken into a series of steps that are manageable and could be worked in a more concise manner. This makes the whole task easier and more convenient. The writing process is important because it takes away the stress and anxiety that piles up from trying to work on a piece of writing that otherwise seems laborious. Following is a series of steps that you can go through to have a more decent piece of writing at your hand or you may use it to create a blog writing;

  1. Planning or prewriting

Prewriting or planning refers to brainstorming different ideas and taking certain views into account that are more homogenous with your intended goals. Here you must come up with a sketch and or an outline to perfectly bring together the very purpose and the abstract of the writing that you need to do. Think of what you will be writing, who will be your intended audience, and moreover the purpose of the writing as well. 

  1. Creating your first draft

Here you must try to complete the story focusing on a proper timeline. Before the work can be published you must come up with various drafts to ensure that it lines perfectly with the overall sketch or outline of the writing.

  1. Share your first draft

After you have worked on your first draft and have come up with a story that you think is capable of publishing. Now you must share your first draft with other people to have their insight on the subject. You can share it with your email list, online writing communities, or forums or to an editor who would pass on their thoughts to you about the work.

Now that you have received some feedback you need to do some evaluation of the comments received. Think of it as an opportunity to make your writing better and take away a few of the writing mistakes that you might have made along the way and make your piece of writing better and stronger.

After you have the suggestions with you finally you can start working on your draft this is known as revising. This involves making edits and changes to your work and this thing is extremely important especially for fictional writing. 

  1. Editing the content

Take into account the readability, clarity, and accuracy of the content that you have written. And if it is not up to the mark then you have to make some editing and try to make it more cohesive with that of your writing goals. 

  1. Getting your content published

Now that everything has been said and done, you have edited the content, have received feedback on it, and have potentially tried everything to make it more cohesive you have to share it with your audience. And publishing your content is the right way to do it.
