Coffee Aroma Compounds
The full chemical name for caffeine is 1,3,7-trimethylxanthine and its chemical formula is C8H10N4O2. When coffee is roasted, and when the coffee beans begin to cool, they release about 700 chemical substances that make up the vaporizing aromas.
Studies have shown that the mere smell of coffee, the aroma from brewed coffee, can wake up and stimulate your brain.
Though many have attempted to prove that caffeine is bad for humans, that is very far from conclusive. In fact, the opposite appears to be true and that coffee and caffeine are very beneficial.
