With the advent of GIF and MEME all over Twitter, Facebook, Tiktok, and other communications channels, it seems that people make heavy use of short stories and methods of communication. TBH, many continue to use these acronyms that might leave you just SMH, IKR? Maybe it is FOMO or YOLO, but what about the actual shortest story ever.

It was assumed that shortest story ever told was written by Ernest Hemingway when his buddies bet him that he cannot write story with only six words. Hemingway took piece of napkin and wrote: “For Sale, Baby Shoes, Never Worn.” However, this short story dates back to 1917 written by William R. Kane: “Little Shoes, Never Worn.” William wrote this story before Hemingway and it had only four words.
