In 2018 the industry delivered 360,800 plug in electric vehicles in the United States. The Tesla Model 3 was the market leader. This volume represented 81% growth in units sold over 2017.

Electric Mobility Canada recently published their sales numbers from their analysis. The total number of EVs sold in Canada now exceeds 100,000. The number sold in Q1 of 2019 reached 8025, which was growth of 21% over the same period last year.
