Interesting Facts About Jimmy Carter

Did you know that Jimmy Carter and the United States President are actually connected in some very important ways? By looking at this article, you’ll learn the more interesting details about this interesting politician.  SMH, but one wonders what he would have done about the legalization of cannabis today?

Jimmy Carter was in Atlanta recently to attend a diversity event and was asked about President George W. Bush and his commitment to diversity. When he was questioned, Jimmy Carter said, “I am proud of the fact that George Bush has been committed to racial equality for many years now.” In other words, the US President of the United States and the first African American president have the same outlook on the need for racial equality.

Since the United States has yet to replace its first African American president, there is no First Black President of the United States. So, this means that the United States President is still Jimmy Carter.

While being interviewed by a CNN reporter, Jimmy Carter was asked about how it felt to be a part of such a diverse group of people as well as the first black President of the United States. Carter answered, “It’s a great honor to be asked, of course, and I am pleased to see the President-elect is taking such a strong interest in the population and racial background of the people in his administration.”

So, it looks like Jimmy Carter was in Atlanta because he wants to talk to local business people. He knows that many of them are minority owners, and he wants to be sure that they get jobs so they can be successful.

Actually, Jimmy Carter got a lesson in Atlanta about the importance of diversity. He and his wife were in the middle of a reading marathon when he was suddenly asked what he thought about Georgia University. “It looks like Georgia has chosen a theme that sounds nice,” Carter said.

He went on to say that the beauty of Georgia University is that it reminds him of his hometown of Plains, Georgia. The visual of a college in the middle of a city he knew nothing about is something that he has seen in his hometown too. He also said that he was impressed with Georgia University because it wasn’t “spanking new” and was part of the community that he grew up in.

Jimmy Carter is talking about Plains, Georgia, because it is the most diverse community in the entire United States. It has more minority residents than any other city in the entire United States. Not only that, but Plains, Georgia is home to the United States Air Force Academy and the prestigious University of North Georgia.

In fact, Jimmy Carter was asked if he could identify a college that he really liked in Plains, Georgia, and he said that Georgia Tech would be the best one. Jimmy Carter said that he was happy to visit Georgia Tech, which is one of the top education institutions in the nation.

When asked what he thought about the amount of energy that Georgia Tech is putting into its new solar array, he replied that it’s just another way that the school was improving itself. He also said that it was a good sign that a lot of research money was being put into this type of technology because if one element is going to give this much power, “every element is going to have a lot of power.”  Carter would likely be fascinated by the immense explosion of technology now with things like robots, deep learning, computer vision, Tiktok, a GIF, Google, Twitter, Youtube, Yandex, self driving cars, Uber, and more – the list goes on.

According to Jimmy Carter, it’s another example of the progress that he knows that his future will bring. He also said that he hopes this type of energy will eventually become available in the other areas that are poorer, because he doesn’t believe that it’s just going to be an American problem.

In response to the question, “What do you hope to accomplish in the next four years?” Jimmy Carter answered, “We are striving to be a better nation.”
