10 Signs Your Body Needs More Water

Not thirsty? But well, it does not mean that you do not need water. Whether you are aware or not, there is a big possibility that you might be dehydrated!

Up to 50% of the human body is water, thus why on average you should drink at most 1.5 liters of water every day to replenish the water inside your body that might be lost due to sweating, urinating, and other activities. It is only normal that you keep hearing it again and again –to drink more water every day. Some people find it simple to consume the required amount of water. Others may view it as a tremendous task in their already hectic lives. The people who do not think that drinking water is important are at loss. Without knowing, they are depriving their body of the nourishment it requires the most.

Your body will give you a sign which means that you have to drink more water. Find 10 signs below, to make sure you don’t miss it and become dehydrated!

Dry Skin & Eyes

You might not be getting enough water if your eyes are feeling dry, or if your contact lenses seem sticky. Try drinking more water before you spend money on pricey prescription eye drops or doing other treatments.

The same applies to your skin, which could begin to get dry and flaky.  Try squeezing the skin on the back of your hand to check if you might be dehydrated. After you pinch it, does it quickly pick up speed again or does it return more slowly? When dehydration is the issue, lotion and body cream are not going to help you. One of the most obvious signs that you are dehydrated is when your skin becomes dry and loses its flexibility.

Bathroom Problems

If you don’t drink enough water each day, ultimately you’ll have issues when going to the bathroom. If you notice a decrease in your urine production or if your urine seems dark in color, then it means you have to drink more water.

You Feel Lightheaded

Blood pressure may drop due to dehydration, thus making you feel lightheaded, and feel queasy when suddenly standing up. It’s never easy to get through the day being lightheaded, so try increasing your water intake and see if it helps. In addition to alleviating discomfort from headache, it could also help to avoid it.

Your Body Feels Freezing

No system in our bodies, including the one that controls temperature, can function effectively if there is not enough water in the body. Before taking any cold medications, you should try to drink some water if you start to feel feverish or have chills.

Exhausted All The Time

Being worn out all the time is not ideal. If you already get enough sleep every night but still feel exhausted the next day, consider drinking extra water. Dehydration is known to contribute to exhaustion, a glass of water can be just what you need to re-energize!

Stomach and Muscle Cramps

Plenty of water is the one thing that muscles need the most. If you don’t drink enough, they may cramp up or seize. Your stomach is also affected by this, and you might even get spasms. The last thing you want to do when you are feeling sick to your stomach is gulp a whole glass of water, but it may be what you need to feel better quickly. To prevent stomach issues, drink water continuously throughout the day.

Losing Focus, Memory, and Concentration

Over 70% of the water in our brains is made up of fluid. In other words, our brains are unable to operate normally when our bodies are dehydrated. Losing focus, memory, and concentration are the result of this. Consider increasing your daily water intake and watch how much better you will feel.

Not Sweating

You probably aren’t drinking enough fluids if you notice that you’re not perspiring during an intense workout or on a hot day. Beware because you may experience heat stroke as a result of this!

Heart Beat Keep Racing

Since water makes up the majority of blood, dehydration makes it difficult for your heart to pump blood through the body. You can experience a racing heart or need to breathe more quickly as a result of this. Dehydration can cause these later symptoms, so it’s critical to rehydrate straight away. By consuming the correct amount of water each day, you can avoid these symptoms.

Serious Health Problems

Daily dehydration can lead to major health problems and discomfort. It can be quite beneficial to plan and have water with you as you go about your day. Your reward will be a healthier physique and improved mood!

You need to be extra aware and watch your hydration levels. If you’ve noticed any of the above-mentioned symptoms of dehydration, you should drink water immediately. Drinking water throughout the day will help to improve your overall health!
